I’ve been really bad with time management lately, but I’m fixing that now.
Setting aside time each day for writing, and thus far By Her Own Two Hands is posted, and the opening chapters of Bards: Part Deux are done.
It’ll still be at least fall before the book is done, although I wouldn’t expect much before Christmas despite making every effort to get it out sooner.
The biggest hold up will probably be fund raising for post-production, as it was last time to afford the amazing cover art done by Jo Chen for Roaming Cadenza.
Totally worth it though, and I aim to shoot for the same this time around.
Also, skimping on post-production leads to minor (though numerous) grammatical issues as I’m sure some noticed in Roaming Cadenza, thanks to a half-assed editor collecting a full-fee for doing a marginal percentage of work.
Not that I’m not bitter or anything.
I’ve been going through and revising the master manuscript for Roaming Cadenza, which will probably be re-released as a second edition when the series is complete.
On that note: If cover art ends up being the only issue with part deux’s release date, then I’ll probably just release the eBook/pdf until I can get the graphics together for print.
Lastly, I’m putting together a soundtrack section for Roaming Cadenza that features the music mentioned in the book.
However, the hotel I’m working out of at the moment has less-than-stellar internet, so as best I can tell the new music isn’t loading right (which I’m pretty sure also includes the Decemberists player above, but I can’t say for sure).
The soundtrack section will be posted some time this weekend when I have a connection solid enough to make sure it works.
